Hitting the Ground Running

The new Congress hit the ground running this week to show support for Israel in the wake of the United Nations anti-Israel resolution passed last December. We also passed legislation designed to roll back excessive government regulation- the Regulations from the Executive in Need of Scrutiny (REINS) Act.

Culberson Statement on Resolution of Disapproval of United Nations’ Anti-Israel Vote

Following House passage of H. Res. 11, Congressman Culberson released the following statement. “President Obama betrayed Israel, the only peaceful democratic state in the Middle East, by refusing to veto the shameful U.N. Security Council’s passage to end Israeli settlements. President Obama Betrayed Israel

Congressman John Culberson (TX-07) released the following statement after the Obama Administration allowed the UN Security Council to adopt a resolution condemning Israeli settlement construction. "President Barack Obama shamefully and brazenly betrayed Israel today in the United Nations. Without any warning, and in a complete reversal of unwavering American support, President Obama has unilaterally and seriously damaged Israel's negotiating position in the ongoing peace talks."

Texas Will Receive $177 Million in Disaster Relief Funding

Congressman John Culberson (TX-07) released the following statement regarding the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s announcement that Texas will receive an additional $177 million in disaster relief funding. “Texas, specifically Houston, has experienced several extreme weather events resulting in millions of dollars of damage to homes and businesses. I am pleased that the State will receive $177 million of the funding allocated in the continuing resolution to assist in the rebuilding efforts."
