Congressman John Culberson (TX-07) released the following statement regarding the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s announcement that Texas will receive an additional $177 million in disaster relief funding.

“Texas, specifically Houston, has experienced several extreme weather events resulting in millions of dollars of damage to homes and businesses. I am pleased that the State will receive $177 million of the funding allocated in the continuing resolution to assist in the rebuilding efforts.

“The State will decide where to allocate this money, and I will continue to advocate that Harris County receive their fair share to help Houstonians repair after the Memorial Day and Tax Day floods.”
