Congressman Culberson is a member of the House Appropriations Committee, which is responsible for funding the federal government. His position on the committee allows him to promote his vision for effective government – lower taxes, less regulation, and more local control. In 2014, Congressman Culberson was selected to chair the Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, and Science, or CJS. The CJS Subcommittee has jurisdiction over the Department of Commerce, Department of Justice, NASA, the National Science Foundation, and other related agencies. In addition to his leadership role on the CJS Subcommittee, Congressman Culberson serves on the Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development Subcommittee.
