This afternoon I participated in a House Homeland Security Committee hearing to discuss the President’s 2013 budget proposal with DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano. Border security is one of my top priorities in Congress. At today’s hearing I had the opportunity to ask questions about funding for border security resources and infrastructure upgrades for our border ports of entry. I will work with my colleagues in the House to continue working on next year’s DHS budget to help my border communities get the security funding they need.
