Flag Requests

It is possible to purchase commemorative and non-commemorative flags from the United States Congress.

In order to further assist you with your flag purchases, please read the following information. PLEASE NOTE: A $4.05 FEE WILL BE CHARGED PER FLAG FLOWN OVER THE CAPITOL.

INSURANCE

As of June 28, 2001, Senator Lugar's office will no longer be able to provide insurance for flags shipped. THIS OFFICE CANNOT ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR FLAGS THAT ARE LOST IN THE MAIL.

COMMEMORATIVE FLAG

If you wish to have a flag flown over the U.S. Capitol in honor of an individual, organization or event, you will need to order a commemorative flag.

When ordering a commemorative flag, please indicate the date you want the flag to be flown and the person, organization or event being recognized. Also, indicate if you wish the flag sent directly to another person, and please include their name and address.

In response to recent legislation, a $4.05 fee will be charged PER FLAG flown over the Capitol. Please add this amount to the prices listed above.

NON-COMMEMORATIVE FLAG

Flags can also be purchased for general use. General purpose flags are not flown over the Capitol and are not assessed the $4.05 charge.

SHIPPING AND HANDLING

Please include $4.00 PER FLAG (both commemorative and non-commemorative) for shipping and handling charges.

PAYMENT

Please make checks payable in the appropriate amount (flag, flying fee, shipping and handling) to KEEPER OF THE STATIONERY.

Constituent Resource Handbooks

In recent years, information management has become a challenge to all Hoosiers in nearly every aspect of life...in the workplace, in our leisure time and in the process of life-long learning. Information is flowing at a faster rate and in greater quantities than ever before. Much of that information, especially that associated with government at federal, state and local levels, affects the lives of all Hoosiers every day.

To help manage the abundant information and available resources, I have compiled a series of handbooks on a variety of topics of significance to the citizens of Indiana. The handbooks currently available include: Immigration and Nationality, Public Works Enhancements, Seniors, and Your Federal Government.
