Letter to the Editor of The Washington Post about May 27, 2002, article with showers of accolades on the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for processing veterans claims.  The article  was surely welcomed by agency officials, but is unfortunately a disservice to America's veterans who continue to wait for a fair and accurate decision on their claims for benefits.  Unfortunately, The Washington Post's facts, which are easily verifiable on VA's public website, were wrong.  May 30, 2002
