I have long believed that the future of the Middle East depends on reason, understanding, and a mutual agreement to coexist.  Throughout my life, I have sought to build bridges between American communities most affected by the conflict, encouraging dialogue and partnerships.
The United States must do everything that it can to bring about a stable Middle East and I stand behind President Obama and Secretary of State Clinton’s efforts to reinvigorate diplomacy in the region.
