THE 30th NATIONAL CONGRESSIONAL ART COMPETITION AN ARTISTIC DISCOVERY Organized by Members of Congress to encourage and recognize the artistic talents of young Americans Click here to access the 31st National Congressional Art Competition guidelines and application. Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton This was the best year ever! The competition received 380 artwork submissions from 196 students in grades 8 -12 representing 17 schools - five D.C. Public Schools, seven Private Schools, and four Public Charter Schools. The artwork of the first place winner will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol in a national exhibit of student's artwork from the congressional districts of every member of the House of Representatives. Also, participant's artwork will be exhibited in my Congressional District Offices, at the prestigious Wahlfarth Galleries in the District of Columbia, the DC Chamber of Commerce, as well as at the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.
