Casework

Our caseworkers interpret, interact, explain and intercede on behalf of constituents toward relief of their queries between them and the federal government or agencies. They serve as a neutral facilitator or liasion between the constituents and these agencies.

They review and respond to needs, complaints or personal problems posed by the constituents. They have a working knowledge of these federal agencies, current laws and regulations and relevant agency programs under the current legislation, while building relationships with federal agency personnel.

Caseworkers request information or status reports and urge prompt consideration of a matter based on the merits of the case. They arrange for interviews and appointments related to cases, express judgment on a matter, ask for reconsideration, based on law and regulation, of an administrative decision, and prepare and file periodic summary reports for cases and their status.
