The current housing crisis and economic downturn are hurting communities in Wisconsin and across the nation. I have heard from a number of Wisconsinites who are worried about losing their home because they are behind on their mortgage payments. Unfortunately, too many of these families are not able to receive assistance through their servicers and have been, or may be, forced into foreclosure.
The foreclosure process can have a devastating impact on both the family and the surrounding community. I am pleased that the Obama administration has created a number of different programs to help families facing foreclosure.
