Crowley is Fighting for Comprehensive Immigration Reform:

• Co-authored the STRIVE Act, the most comprehensive immigration reform bill in the 110th Congress.
• As a Chief Deputy Whip, led the Democratic effort in trying to pass comprehensive immigration reform by working with colleagues on both sides of the aisle.
• Increased President Bush’s proposed budget to fund the Department of Homeland Security’s border and immigration enforcement programs.

Crowley Protecting Our Families

• Lead sponsor of the Spousal Reunification Act, which would allow non-immigrants who are married to, or children of, legal permanent residents, to visit the United States.
• Lead sponsor of the Uniting American Families Act, which would allow United States citizens and lawful permanent residents to sponsor their “permanent partners” for residency in the U.S.
• Worked to support a Queens family by helping Leonor and Armando Garzon become citizens of the United States, allowing them to continue their fight to bring their son’s killer to justice.
