If you are having a problem with a federal agency, my
office will assist you. I have several caseworkers on my
staff who specialize in assisting
constituents with their problems. On a daily basis they
work with the Department of Defense, Department of
Veterans Affairs, Immigration and Naturalization Service,
Internal Revenue Service, Medicare, Social Security,
Small Business Administration, and
other federal agencies. For

over the U.S. Capitol building. If you would like to order a

Academy Nominations
Each year, members of the United States Congress are
entitled to submit military academy nominations. This
nomination process ensures
that a wide range of students from across the nation
attend our military academies. Each member is permitted to
nominate 10 outstanding individuals from his or her
district for each academy. For more information about this

Presidential
Greetings
My office is happy to help you in securing a
congratulatory greeting from the
President for a birthday (for persons 80 years of age or
over) or a wedding anniversary (50 years of marriage or
more). Presidential Greetings are also available upon
achievement of the Eagle Scout or the Girl Scout Gold
Award. Allowing at least 8 weeks prior to the date being
commemorated, please make your request to

Tours in DC
My office can help you obtain tickets and tours of the
following locations: the Capitol, Congressional
House Gallery,
Bureau of Engraving and Printing, Kennedy Center,
the White House,
and the Library of Congress. All of these free tickets are distributed on a first-come,
first-served basis. Please send your
request to my Washington office at least 30 days prior to

Kaha Ki'i Congressional Art Competition
Each spring I encourage high school student to participate
in the Kaha Ki‘i Congressional Art Competition. Kaha Ki‘i
recognizes the artistic talents of high school students
throughout our country. The final winner will have
his/her artwork displayed at the Cannon House Office
Building Tunnel, a pedestrian walkway leading to the U.S.
Capitol, for one year. Students submit their artwork
through their high schools. The competition is open to
any high school student (grades 9-12) residing in the
2nd Congressional District. For more information,
