The Emergency Education NETwork (EENET) is a satellite-based distance learning system used by FEMA to bring interactive training programs into virtually any community nationwide. With a wide variety of programs for the public safety community, there's something for everyone.

All programming is open, and is in the public domain, so that any community with access to a C-band or Ku-band analog satellite dish or a community cablevision provider can receive broadcasts and participate in the training programs.

EENET Awards

USFA's Emergency Education NETwork (EENET) is a leader in the distance learning community and has often been recognized for its creative work in bringing emergency management training to a national audience.

Since 1996, EENET has been the recipient of more than 100 national awards for programming. Included in this prestigious list, are two Gold 20th Anniversary Classic Telly Awards (best programming of 20 years) received in 1998.

In 1997, EENET was honored with its first international recognition as the recipient of a "Certificate of Creative Excellence" from the International Film and Video Festival for a program on children's safety, part of the National Alert Series.
