E449 Incident Command System (ICS) Curricula Train-The-Trainer (TTT)

Course Description:

This course will train participants to teach the Incident Command System field courses that EMI offers. Those courses are: Intermediate Incident Command System (G195), Advanced Incident Command System (G196), Incident Command System: Law Enforcement (G190), Incident Command System: Public Works (G192), Incident Command System for Public Officials Conference (G194), and the Incident Command System/Emergency Operations Center Interface Workshop (G191). This combined TTT will concentrate on how to teach the courses rather than on course content. Emphasis will be placed on intermediate and advanced level courses. Participants should expect to attend evening sessions in this course.  An extensive collection of supporting materials will be provided and participants, who elect to take them, should plan on shipping these materials to their office or home at their own expense.

Selection Criteria:
People who have a working knowledge of Incident Command System through experience and/or training, who have trained adults, and who will actually deliver the field version(s) of EMI’s Incident Command System curricula.

Prerequisites:
Required: Completion of the IS-195 Basic Incident Command System Independent Study course and at least one of the following EMI Incident Command System courses: Incident Command System: Law Enforcement (G190), Incident Command System: Public Works (G192), Incident Command System/Emergency Operations Center Interface Workshop (G191), Intermediate Incident Command System (G195); or one of these EMI/NFA Independent Study courses: IS-15 Special Event Contingency Planning for Public Safety Agencies; IS-120 An Orientation to Community Disaster Exercises; IS-275 The Emergency Operation Center’s (EOC) Role in Community Preparedness, Response, and Recovery Operations, or Q-534 Emergency Response to Terrorism; or an equivalent course offered by a recognized training agency or institution.

Submit FEMA Form 75-5 (General Admission Application) to your FEMA Regional Training Manager for consideration and submission to the NETC Admissions Office no later than 45 days prior to the starting date of the class you wish to attend.
