click here to learn more about citizen corps

Now more than ever, Americans are working together to strengthen their communities. President George W. Bush is working to support community-based efforts through the newly-proposed Citizen Corps. This broad network of volunteer efforts will harness the power of the American people by relying on their individual skills and interests to prepare local communities to effectively prevent and respond to the threats of terrorism, crime, or any kind of disaster, including fire.

Listed below are resources available from USFA that will assist communities and local fire departments in these efforts. For more information on Citizen Corps, please visit www.citizencorps.gov.
