Delivered Coal Prices, 1994-2003. This line graph shows the average delivered price per ton of coal in nominal dollars for the years 1994 through 2003 to the consuming sectors. The average delivered price per ton of coal at electric utilities in 1994 was $28.03 and was $25.39 in 2003. The average delivered price per ton of coal at other industrial plants in 1994 was $32.55 and $34.17 in 2003. The average delivered price per ton of coal at coke plants in 1994 was $46.56 and $50.63 in 2003.
