The Office of Legal Policy (OLP), United States Department of Justice, is seeking experienced attorneys for positions located in Washington, D.C. The Office of Legal Policy plans, develops, and coordinates the implementation of major policy initiatives of high priority to the Department and the Administration. Responsibilities as a staff attorney include the performance of extremely varied legal work in the interpretation and proper application of provisions of the law, the formulation of Department policy and legislative proposals, and management responsibility in key areas of either criminal or civil law.

Applicants must possess a J.D. degree, be an active member of the bar (any jurisdiction), and have at least one year of post-J.D. experience.

Current salary and years of experience will determine the appropriate salary level ranging from GS-12 ($60,638 - $78,826) to GS-15 ($100,231 - 130,305).
