New  Measuring Benefits of the NTTAA

A report assessing the economic impact of the National Technology Transfer and Advancement Act (NTTAA) on Federal agencies is now available from NIST’s Standards Services Division (SSD).  SSD contracted with RTI International to document the economic benefits that agencies can achieve by transitioning from agency-specific standards to third-party voluntary consensus standards.  The report contains an economic methodology designed to measure the potential benefits, results from pre-tests conducted with selected agencies, interview guides for collecting data, and recommendations. .
