 The "Actinide
Research Quarterly" is a newsletter highlighting the current
research of the Nuclear Materials Technology (NMT) Division. The
Actinide Research Quarterly highlights NMT's progress in such core
capabilities as actinide process chemistry, plutonium metallurgy,
surface and separation sciences, actinide ceramics, actinide characterization
and analysis, and manufacturing technologies. The publication is
aimed at division members, peers at Los Alamos, and NMT's customers,
including those in Washington.

Laboratory’s achievements and how they benefit our neighbors,
our nation, and the world. Operated by the University of California
for the Department of Energy and the National Nuclear Security
Administration, Los Alamos has a distinguished record of applying
science and technology to meet national needs, a record that stretches
back to our founding during the Manhattan Project. The Research
Quarterly highlights our ongoing work to enhance global security
by ensuring the safety and reliability of the U.S. nuclear weapons
stockpile, developing technical solutions to reduce the threat
of weapons of mass destruction, and solving problems related to
energy, environment, infrastructure, health and national security.
