USAID “MEET THE MISSIONS” WEBCAST
Country Priorities from Our Directors
The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has launched an
innovative new series on its Internet website to describe the work of
its various missions abroad – a web-based video program called “Meet
the Missions.” This program, broadcast through USAID’s website,
features ten- to fifteen-minute interviews with the directors of USAID’s
various missions.
The program currently is being directed and produced by USAID’s
Bureau for Europe and Eurasia, though the program could be expanded to
other geographic areas. Dr. Kent R. Hill, USAID’s Assistant Administrator
for Europe and Eurasia, serves as the host, and discusses the various
goals and activities of missions in Europe and Eurasia. Broadcasts to
date feature discussions with directors from countries throughout Eastern
Europe and the Caucasus regions with countries in Central Asia to follow.
In order to run the video viewers will need to have the RealPlayer plug-in
installed on their computer system. A link for this plug-in is available
on each video's associated web page.
