Activity Name: Jobs Opportunities through Basic Services (JOBS), CSP Phase IV

General Description

Jobs Opportunities through Basic Services (JOBS) is an expansion of Emergency Employment Generation Program (EEGP). While it continues to focus on short-term job creation, the JOBS program also aims to integrate labor intensive activities into sustainable development projects. In addition, resources are allocated to strengthen local and municipal government councils' operation and maintenance of infrastructure, municipal services, and participatory governance.

Notable Achievements

  • Created more than 910,000 person days of employment.
  • The program has recently started.
  • Renovated and/ or constructed 215 educational rooms.
  • Constructed 38 kindergartens.
  • Constructed and/ or renovated 39 youth centers.
  • Constructed 34 Kilometers of interior roads.
