Small Business Resource Database

The Small Business Resource Database (SBRD) is maintained by the OSDBU to assist U.S. small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, women-owned small businesses, HUBZone small businesses, service-disabled Veteran-owned small businesses and Veteran-owned small businesses (hereinafter referred to as "U.S. small businesses") to participate in the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in supporting long-term and equitable economic growth and advances U.S. foreign policy objectives by supporting sustainable development program activities.

U.S. small businesses register into the database to compete for future contracts. The Agency will utilize the registration form to develop source lists for various contracts awarded at USAID.

The purpose of the SBRD is to:

  1. Identify U.S. small businesses and organizations and their technical capabilities.
  2. Provide U.S. small businesses' and organizations' capabilities to USAID project and procurement personnel considering the use of private sector technical services for USAID programs.

The SBRD currently shows the various type of specializations that USAID utilizes:

Accounting Agriculture Conference Management
Construction Data Processing Democracy
Economic Policy Education Environment
Evaluation/Monitor Feasibility Study Financial Management
Government/Law Health Industry
Investment Banking Judicial System Management
Political Development Population Private Enterp. Develop.
Public Administration Technology Transfer Telecommunications
Training Transportation Urban Development
Water Supply and Sanitation Women In Development

Registration in the SBRD can in no way assure a U.S. small business or organization of receiving a contract, but it does enhance the ability of U.S. small businesses or organizations to compete for USAID contracts.

We welcome the inclusion of your U.S. small business or organization information into our Small Business Resource Database.

Instructions

The registration application at the above link has been designed to be simple, easy to complete, and stable on a variety of Internet browser software. In testing this application we've developed the following guidance in response to feedback from users:

  1. As you complete each screen, be sure to scroll down to the bottom, complete all required entries, and click on the "save" button BEFORE you click on the "next" button to advance to the next screen.
  2. When completing the capabilities portion you may include as many capabilities as are appropriate, just continue clicking on the "add" button after each selection. However, selecting multiple entries by holding down the "control" button is not available as this function will not work on all Internet browsers.
  3. For the value of past contracts use only numbers representing whole dollar values. Do not input "$" or "," or ".00". For example, a prior contract with a value of $495.784.34 should be input as: 495784
