The Survey Basics section of this web site provides an overview of the operations of the American Community Survey.

You can see the survey questionnaire, read about how the data are collected and disseminated, and what distinguishes the surveys from each other.

Under 'Survey Questionnaire', you will also find Fact Sheets, that explain the origin of each question and how data are used.

The congressional toolkit provides basic American Community Survey information in a 'portable' format.
