DEA Celebrates the Swearing In of Administrator Karen Tandy

SEP 17--DEA's 9th Administrator, Karen Tandy was officially sworn into her new office by Attorney General John Ashcroft yesterday. The ceremony took place outside the DEA headquarters buildings in Arlington, Virginia. Office of National Drug Control Policy Director John Walters and former DEA Administrator John C. Lawn also spoke at the event, congratulating Tandy and praising her record as a prosecutor and head of several highly successful anti-drug programs during her career at the Department of Justice.
