GAS EX-98 data site

This Web site leads to the FTP sites containing preliminary data from the GAS EX-98 cruise. It is meant for use by the investigators of GAS EX-98 and not for the public at large. For a general description of the cruise please view:

Upload procedures

Data can be uploaded directly to the gasex98 directory at the AOML site. Please create a separate directory for your data and contact Bob Castle such that the Web site can be updated. All data that is placed on the AOML site should be accompanied by a README file containing at minimum:

• Contact person
• Last update
• Explanation of columns, units etc.
• General remarks about data quality, future improvements etc that might be of use to the other investigators

Etiquette for using the FTP sites

This data is preliminary for use of interpretation of the results. Please adhere to the following guidelines:

• Approach the contact person of the dataset directly with specific questions.
• Do not make any changes to data sets other than your own
• Please contact Bob Castle when data or updates are placed at the AOML FTP site
• Please let the contact person know if there appears to be errors, offsets, or discrepancies in the data sets not noted in the README file.
• Do not use any data on these sites for publications and presentations without consulting with the contact person for the dataset
