Directions to the Durham Field Office
From Portland, ME (and north)
Follow I-95 South; once into New Hampshire take Exit 5 (Spaulding
Turnpike). Look for signs for Route 4 West, your exit will be Exit
6W to Concord, Durham (this is the last exit before the toll on
the turnpike). Stay on Route 4 West (for 7.1 miles) until you come
to the Exit 155A Lee, UNH. Once down the ramp, take a left toward
UNH, Durham. Go approximately .4 miles to an intersection (155A
to Lee), the Forest Service building is on the right at this intersection.
Exiting from Logan Airport, Boston MA (the south)
- Turn right onto Route 1A (North)
- Go for about 2 miles and enter rotary
- Go straight through center of rotary (on to Route 60)
- Follow about 1 mile to smaller rotary
- Go ½ way around and continue on Route 60
- Follow about 1 mile to large rotary. Go about ¼ way around
(1st exit off rotary) and get onto Route 1 North
- Follow Route 1 about 7 or 8 miles and exit onto Interstate 95
North
- Continue on I-95 into New Hampshire (about ½ hour)
- Take Exit 3 (left exit) onto Routes 4, 16, Spaulding Turnpike.
(If you remain to the right you will continue on I-95 North to
Maine.)
- Follow Spaulding Turnpike for 4 or 5 miles
- Take exit 6W – Route 4 West (this is the last exit before
the toll on the turnpike).
- Follow for about 4 miles to Durham exit – Route 155A (University
of NH)
- Follow ramp down and take a left
- Go about ½ mile, and the Forest Service Building is on
the right (brick building)
From Concord, NH:
Follow Route 4 East to Exit 155A Lee, UNH. Once at bottom
of the ramp, yield right onto 155A toward UNH, Durham. Go approximately
.4 miles to an intersection (155A to Lee), the Forest Service building
is on the right at this intersection.
From Manchester, NH:
Follow Route 101 East to Route 125 North. At the Lee traffic circle
(intersection of Rt 125 and Rt 4), bear right onto Route 4 East
and go to Exit 155A Lee, UNH. Once at bottom of the ramp, yield
right onto 155A toward UNH, Durham. Go approximately .4 miles to
an intersection (155A to Lee), the Forest Service building is on
the right at this intersection.
