2002 REPORT ON INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

This report provides information on workyears and obligations for information technology activities. The FY 2000 figures represent known expenditures or obligations. The FY 2001 figures represent the appropriations by Congress. The FY 2002 figures reflect the anticipated budget request that has been sent to the President.

Data on information technology (IT) are collected for the oversight and review of IT and information resource management, as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 and the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996. This information is also used to review requests for agency financial management systems and to assist the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) in the preparation of the Government-wide five-year plan required by the Chief Financial Officers (CFOs) Act of 1990.
