DESCRIPTION

Age: 23 to 27 years of age Build: Unknown
Sex: Male Hair: Black
Height: 5'9" to 5'10" Eyes: Unknown
Weight: 160 to 180 pounds Race: White (Hispanic or Middle Eastern)

CAUTION

An unknown while male, possibly Hispanic or Middle Eastern, is wanted for the robberies of about 25 banks in the Los Angeles, California area between 1995 and 2000. It is alleged that the unknown suspect started robbing banks in 1995, stopped for 14 months, and started again in 1997. The suspect then stopped again for 13 months and allegedly did not resume until 1998. After another break of almost two years, he allegedly continued robbing banks in 2000. Subsequently, he has been referred to as the "ground hog bandit". The unknown suspect typically enters the bank and allegedly states, "This is a robbery. I have a gun. Give me your large bills."

REMARKS

The unknown suspect has a small scar or dimple on his left cheek. He is usually clean-shaven and has been described as having a moustache and/or facial hair in certain robberies.

REWARD

The FBI is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of the individual responsible for these bank robberies.
