UNIDENTIFIED MURDER VICTIM
near Grand Isle, Louisiana
February of 1999

THE DETAILS SURROUNDING THE CRIME

Information is being sought regarding the identity of an unknown female who was found floating in the Gulf of Mexico approximately 20 miles south of Grand Isle, Louisiana in February of 1999. The victim was found wearing her clothes and two pieces of jewelry, a gold bracelet and a gold necklace with a butterfly pendant. The victim's body was wrapped in a fishing net with a 40 pound concrete block inside and bound with a cable wire. Her body was badly decomposed and she had been shot.

REMARKS

A forensic examination determined that the victim was a White female, approximately 50 to 55 years old, 5'2" to 5'5", and 130 to 145 pounds. It was also determined that the victim had broken both bones in her lower left leg a number of years earlier which had healed prior to the time of her death. The victim had also undergone extensive dental work in the past 30 years, but due to a badly decayed tooth, it is believed that the victim had not been to the dentist in the past several years.
