On August 30, 2000, Francisco Javier Andrade Vega disappeared from an area near his Mexicali, Mexico, residence. Vega was last seen in the company of Francisco Daniel Phalen Hernandez at approximately 8 p.m. Hernandez was reportedly giving Vega a ride on his bicycle.

Vega is believed to have been brought into the United States, but his whereabouts remain unknown. Mexican law enforcement authorities have requested the assistance of the United States Government in locating Vega.

Francisco Javier Andrade Vega has a large scar on his right leg and a mark on his upper lip. Vega also has a scar on his nose.

Francisco Daniel Phalen Hernandez, a registered sex offender, is being sought for questioning regarding the disappearance of Francisco Javier Andrade Vega. Hernandez is a White (Hispanic) male. His date of birth: January 16, 1969. Other dates of birth: 1/12/69; 7/16/69; 12/12/69; 12/17/69; 12/26/69; 6/13/75; 5/16/76. Hernandez is 5'5" to 5'7", 170 pounds, with brown eyes and black, graying hair. Hernandez has tattoos on both wrists; a tattoo on his left arm; and a partially removed tattoo on his left breast, which is similar to Chinese letters. Hernandez also has a smashed right middle finger.

Pholen, Javier Villasana Sanchez Jr., Javier Phalen-Hernanez, Antonio (last name), and Easy (last name).
