NEW YORK WOMAN RECEIVES 6 YEAR SENTENCE ON FEDERAL CHILD PORNOGRAPHY CONVICTION Kevin J. O'Connor, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that DONNAANN DAMBRO, age 44, formerly of Brewster, New York was sentenced today by Senior United States District Judge Ellen Bree Burns in New Haven to 72 months of imprisonment, followed by three years of supervised release, for conspiracy to produce child pornography. On September 2, 2003, DAMBRO pleaded guilty, admitting she received a video camera and digital video cassettes from Bernabe Diaz, a former Danbury attorney and her boyfriend at the time, for the purpose of making digital video cassettes of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct, that she agreed to make the videos, that she made the videos and then provided those video cassettes to Diaz. DAMBRO has been incarcerated since her arrest in April 2003. On June 24, 2004, Judge Burns sentenced Diaz to 96 months of imprisonment for his role in the crime. This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Danbury Police Department and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Kari A. Dooley and Deputy United States Attorney John H. Durham. | |
