CAUTION

It is alleged that in August of 2002, Maria Cruz Garcia, along with her husband Simon Lopez-Orozco who is also a fugitive, assisted her brother-in-law, Jorge Lopez-Orozco, with fleeing the state of Idaho. It is also alleged that Garcia helped to conceal and provide transportation for the family of Jorge Lopez-Orozco after he allegedly shot to death three people in Elmore County, Idaho. The charred remains of a woman and her two young sons, aged two and five, were found inside a burned out vehicle on August 11, 2002. Garcia allegedly helped Jorge Lopez-Orozco flee to the state of California and she was last seen in San Jose, California in August of 2002. After a local arrest warrant was issued for Garcia, a federal arrest warrant charging her with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution was issued on July 2, 2003.
