CAUTION

Julio Merida is wanted for his alleged involvement in the murder of two individuals in a park in Providence, Rhode Island. On October 18, 1987, Merida allegedly shot and killed two men during an argument over a traffic accident. While a soccer game was being played in the park, a motor vehicle accident occurred at the park entrance. A crowd gathered as an argument ensued and Merida was allegedly given a handgun. He then allegedly used the gun to shoot a relative of one individual involved in the accident and another man in the crowd. Both men were killed. A local arrest warrant was issued in Providence, Rhode Island, charging Merida with two counts of murder on December 3, 1987. A federal arrest warrant charging Merida with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution was issued on May 30, 1995, in the District of Rhode Island.
