Remarks: Kennedy wears a colostomy bag as a result of a previous gunshot wound. He is known to dress as a woman. Kennedy is believed to have been in Houston and Dallas, Texas; California; and other western states, since January of 2001. He is also believed to return to the northern Alabama area on occasion.

CAUTION

Edward Demond Kennedy is wanted for a murder which occurred in Colbert County, Alabama. On February 7, 2000, Kennedy went to a woman's home in Tuscumbia, and allegedly shot her son several times following a drug-related dispute, but he survived his injuries. The woman was also shot in the head and died as a result of her injuries.

Kennedy was charged with murder in a state arrest warrant issued on February 22, 2000, by the District Court of Colbert County, Alabama. On October 26, 2001, a federal arrest warrant was issued by the United States District Court, Northern District of Alabama, Birmingham, Alabama, charging Kennedy with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.

Kennedy is also wanted by local law enforcement authorities in Decatur, Morgan County, Alabama, for his alleged involvement in an armed bank robbery which occurred in January of 2001. A shot was fired into the ceiling during the robbery, but no one was injured. In addition, Kennedy is wanted for questioning in connection with a bank robbery which occurred in Marina, California, in July of 2002.

The FBI is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of Edward Demond Kennedy.
