Jonathon Ross Firestone is wanted for his alleged involvement in a scheme which defrauded a Nevada company's investors out of over 3 million dollars. From approximately February of 1994 to April of 2003, Firestone operated a tool company, Tool Search, in Reno. He purported to have a company which purchased generators and shipped them to Central America. The company also purchased distressed goods from overturned trucks or bankrupt stores and sold those goods to discount stores at a profit. Firestone allegedly sought investors for the company and promised returns which would be generated from the sale of goods which were purchased with investors' money. It is alleged that investors never received returns on their investments and Firestone used investors' money for his personal benefit. On April 5, 2003, Firestone is alleged to have fled from Reno with the fraudulently obtained money. Firestone was indicted on April 30, 2003, by the United States District Court, District of Nevada, Reno, Nevada, on four counts of mail fraud. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On May 1, 2003, his vehicle was found impounded in San Diego, California. However, he remains at large.
