Royce Hubert Chinana is wanted for his alleged participation in a violent crime spree which occurred during the first week of August in 2003, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Chinana and two accomplices were allegedly involved in five carjackings. During one of the carjackings an 80-year-old woman was locked in the trunk of her car after the suspects couldn't get it started. However, the woman managed to escape unharmed. Chinana and his accomplices also allegedly were involved in a murder, and other violent acts upon four individuals, including a female. The suspects allegedly approached the victims in an Albuquerque park, and forced them to remove their personal property, undress, and lie face down on the ground. The female victim was physically assaulted and her boyfriend was shot and killed. After allegedly taking the victims' personal property, the suspects fled the area in their vehicle and a vehicle belonging to one of the victims. Chinana's accomplices have since been arrested, however, he remains at large. Chinana was charged with murder, kidnapping, tampering with evidence, conspiracy, armed robbery, and attempted criminal sexual penetration, in a state arrest warrant which was issued on August 10, 2003, by the Metropolitan Court, County of Bernalillo, State of New Mexico. On September 2, 2003, a federal arrest warrant was issued by the United States District Court, District of New Mexico, charging Chinana with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.
