Remarks:

Bowen was last known to reside in Wilsonville, Alabama. He may have traveled to Wyoming, New Mexico, Maine or Florida. He is known to have vacationed and worked in Florida for several years.

Bowen is proficient in the use of firearms with the skill of a marksman, and is an avid hiker and camper.

CAUTION

In January of 1997, Jerry Lee Bowen's ex-wife disappeared from her home in Shelby County, Alabama. Two months later, the victim's body surfaced in a river and was discovered on a riverbank wrapped in rope, wire and chains. Bowen was later arrested, and then on April 28, 2000, he was convicted for the murder of his ex-wife. Bowen was released on a $150,000 bond and scheduled to appear in the Shelby County Circuit Court for sentencing on June 20, 2000. When Bowen did not appear in court, a state arrest warrant was issued charging him with failure to appear for sentencing and he was charged in a federal arrest warrant with unlawful flight to avoid confinement.
