Annual PVO Conference:  "What Makes A Good NGO?"

The Annual PVO Conference has been scheduled for January 13-14, 2005 at the Renaissance Hotel at 999 9th Street NW, Washington, DC.

Pre-registration:

Please note that due to space constraints, attendance is limited to three participants per organization. There is no conference registration fee. The pre-registration deadline is December 15, 2005. After that date, registrations will be accepted on a space-available basis. Conference Objectives:

  • Provide a forum for exploring PVO/NGO organizational effectiveness.
  • Foster dialogue on emerging issues affecting NGOs.
  • Present and discuss current PVC research.
  • Solicit your feedback on future PVC research and training opportunities.
  • Provide useful information on USAID business opportunities.
  • Encourage peer exchange and networking.

We would like to hear your perspective on what makes a good NGO and your thinking on the most pressing challenges facing the PVO/NGO community. Please take a moment to complete our feedback form. We plan to use your responses to shape conference discussions.

PVO/NGO Knowledge Gateway:

The conference will also feature a variety of kiosks where USAID staff will acquaint attendees with partnership opportunities and provide information on how to work with USAID.

Accommodations:

For out-of-town conference participants, a block of guest rooms has been reserved at the Renaissance Washington, DC Hotel at the special conference rate of $159/night plus 14.5% tax for reservations made by December 8, 2004. For reservations made by phone please mention the Annual PVO Conference to qualify for this special rate.
