ACE2, VODYANITSKIY Met Period 7
Days 201.0 to 205.0, 20-July to 24-July
Significant events at the ship during this period
-
July 22 (203): Clear column with C130. Definitely our most
successful coordinated mission
-
July 23 (204): Initiation of Third Full Lagrangian.
Meteorological Summary: The major feature of this period was
a small low pressure system that formed over the Iberian Peninsula on 21-23
July (day 202-204). This coupled with the North Atlantic High kept the
back trajectories sweeping north of Spain before turning south to the ship.
Winds were from the north at the ship at all levels under 3 km. The boundary
layer heights during this period ranged from 300 to 800m
