ACE2, VODYANITSKIY Met Period 5
Days 192.0 to 196.0, 11-July to 15-July
Significant events at the ship during this period.
-
July 11 (192): Intercomparison with C130 (no clear column due to
lack of aerosol layer aloft)
Meteorological Summary: The ship traveled north along the African
coast, from 29 N to 37 N. There was no organized frontal passage during
this period. Winds below 2000m were from the northeast on days 192-193.5,
from the west on day 194 and from the northeast on day 195. Low and consistent
boundary layer heights of 500 - 800m were present for the entire period.
Back trajectories were from the north, and although a few brushed by coastal
Portugal and Spain, they were all of a mostly marine origin.
