  • The SF 2 data product is focused on examining the Census 2000 results by race and ethnicity and repeat the 47 or more tables for 249 poulation groups, including 78 tribes.
  • The results have been filtered using population thresholds to protect the confidentiality of the responses provided.
  • The lowest geographic level is Tribal Census Tract.

More details about this file can be found on the Summary File 2 overview.

Sample Data - Social, Economic and Housing Characteristics are from Summary File 4

American Indian and Alaska Native areas were sampled at a higher rate, approximately 1 in 2. Like SF 2:

  • The SF 4 data product is focused on examining the Census 2000 results by race and ethnicity but includes an additional 86 ancestry groups for a total of 336 groups.
  • The SF 4 results have been filtered to protect the confidentiality of the responses provided.
