OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA -- John E. Lewis, Special Agent in Charge of
the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Oklahoma, announced the FBI
is asking for the public's assistance in identifying a serial bank
robber that has targeted at least five banks in Oklahoma City and
Tulsa.
The same individual
is believed responsible for the following bank robberies:
- 12/15/03
Gold Bank 10900 Hefner Pointe Drive, OKC
- 12/18/03 Bank of Oklahoma 50 Penn Place, Oklahoma City
- 03/02/04 Bank of Oklahoma 320 S. Boston, Tulsa
- 03/02/04 Tulsa National Bank 7120 S. Lewis, Tulsa
- 04/14/04 BancFirst 7136 S. Yale, Tulsa
In most of the robberies, he calmly waits in the teller line,
approaches the counter, sets a file folder on the counter,
pulls a weapon out
of the folder, and demands money. He then
gathers the money and exits the bank on foot. No getaway vehicle
has
been spotted.
The robber is described
as a white male, in his mid 40's to mid 50's, 170 to 190 lbs., 5'7" to 5'10",
olive complection, dark hair, with unusual teeth that may be fake.
He generally alternates his attire
from one robbery to the next. In three of the robberies he has wore
a grey sport coat, tie and dress pants. The robber had a mustache and
goatee, but in the last robbery he was clean shaven except for a fake
mustache. He wears hats to the robberies including a fedora hat, black
Rose Bowl ball cap, and a ball cap with a Maytag logo.
The robberies are being investigated by the FBI, Oklahoma City Police
Department and Tulsa Police Department.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5000.00 and the Oklahoma Banker's
Association is offering a reward of up to $2000.00, creating a total
reward of up to $7000.00 for information leading to the identification,
arrest and conviction of the individual responsible for these robberies.
