population estimates |
The Population Estimates Program each year publishes births and deaths for the U.S., states, counties, and metropolitan areas. Demographic components of change (births, deaths, domestic and international migration) are developed as inputs to the population estimates. The base data for estimates of births and deaths come from the National Center for Health Statistics. National and state numbers are published at the end of the calendar year; county and metropolitan area numbers are published in the following months. |
