Public Affairs
Public Affairs provides information on U.S. OSCE policies and the U.S. role within the OSCE to American and foreign audiences. We reach this audience through briefings, visitor programs, with the distribution of U.S. Public Diplomacy and U.S. OSCE produced materials, and through this Web site. The Office of the Public Affairs Advisor is responsible for handling and directing media inquiries concerning the U.S. Mission. International Visitor Program
The International Visitor Program brings current and future leaders to the U.S. for a 3-4 week-long, intensive round of professional appointments and consultations with their American counterparts. It also provides the opportunity to travel throughout the United States of America. The purpose of the program is to increase mutual understanding. International Visitors are commonly drawn from the fields of government, politics, journalism, economics, education, and labor. International Visitors travel either individually or as part of groups that share a professional focus, such as foreign policy, environmental protection, or the administration of justice. [ more ]

Vienna Initiative for Central Asia
VICA comprises the U.S. Embassy in Vienna, the U.S. MIssion to the OSCE, the Joint Vienna Institute, the Austrian Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna, and the City of Vienna. Together, these organizations developed a two-week course for on-site and classroom training on the subject of local and regional government. The members of VICA have each contributed to funding the program, with additional funds from the U.S. government. Instruction is offered in English and German, with simultaneous translation into Russian.
