Remarks: Smith is an avid outdoorsman and hunter. He is known to enjoy the nightlife and driving small cars. He may have ties to North Carolina and Florida.

CAUTION

Gary Gene Smith is wanted for his alleged involvement in the kidnapping and rape of a 19-year-old woman in Geneseo, New York. On June 13, 1982, the woman's car became disabled and she was approached by a man who offered her a ride. After she refused the offer, she was dragged into the man's pick-up truck and was taken to a remote area where she was repeatedly sexually abused. A police investigation led to the arrest of Gary Gene Smith, who was charged with rape, sodomy, and kidnapping. He was subsequently released on bail on August 7, 1985. He jumped bail and a local arrest warrant was issued . On September 16, 1986, a federal arrest warrant was issued in the Western District of New York, Rochester, New York, charging Smith with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.
