Federal Government Employment and Payroll Data

__
__

Employment data -- full-time and part-time -- for the Federal government are compiled by the Bureau of the Census from data collected by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) in two separate surveys. Data for Federal employment by governmental function are for October for 1992 to 1995 and for March beginning with 1997. These data are based on the Monthly Report of Federal Civilian Employment (Standard Form 113A). Data for Federal employment by state are for December 31 of each even numbered year. [Note: The Federal Government data exclude information on calculated full-time equivalent employment.]
