SUMMARY: This letter provides corrected versions of the Federal Perkins Loan Program and National Direct Student Loan (NDSL) promissory notes.

Dear Partner:

The Perkins/NDSL promissory notes that were posted to the Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) web site as attachments to Dear Partner Letter CB-01-13 contained an incorrect OMB control number. The correct OMB control number is 1845-0061. Corrected versions of the Perkins and NDSL promissory notes are available, in both Word and PDF format, as attachments to this letter.

In addition to replacing the OMB control number, we have also corrected some typographical errors that were on the promissory notes that we posted earlier. We have added a period at the end of the last sentence on page two, and we have made the spelling of the word "canceled"consistent throughout the promissory notes.
