SEEKS PUBLIC ASSISTANCE IN IDENTIFYING BANK ROBBER

E. Lewis, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation
in Oklahoma, announced the robbery of Bank of Oklahoma, 2601 N. Meridian,
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
At approximately 3:15 p.m. this afternoon, a white male entered the
bank and whispered to the teller, "I have a gun in my belt."
He handed the teller a deposit slip that was completed for $4000. He
told the teller, "I need $4000. I have a mortgage and car payments."
He gathered the money in a blue plastic Wal-Mart sack and exited the
bank on foot. No weapon was seen although he kept a hand near his waist
to imply that he had a weapon.
He was described as a white male, between 50 and 60 years old, tan,
5'6" to 5'7", heavy, 200 lbs., gray and brown beard, wearing
a blue long sleeved plaid dress shirt, blue ball cap, and sunglasses.
The robbery is being investigated by the FBI and Oklahoma City Police
Department.

leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of anyone robbing
