Law Enforcement Seeks Public's Help in West Virginia Shootings

Vehicle Alert graphicA joint task force consisting of investigators from the Charleston, West Virginia, Police Department, the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office, the West Virginia State Police, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the United States Secret Service, the United States Marshals Service, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, is seeking assistance from the public in identifying an individual who has been seen in the area of the shootings that occurred in the Charleston/Kanawha County area during the week of August 10, 2003.

The individual is described as follows:

Heavy-set white male driving a dark colored, full size pickup truck, extended cab, tinted windows, rear sliding glass window, with possibly a gold or other color stripe around the bottom of the vehicle (possibly a Ford 150 extended cab.) The truck may be black, dark blue, dark green, or maroon. If you have information concerning this investigation, call the Task Force at 1-866-WVWATCH or 1-866-989-2824
