This a brief overview of the Federal Law Clerk Information System website.
To Perform a Search
Click the "Search" button on the home page, or click the "Search" link at the top of this page
to go to the search form. Define your search criteria, and click the "Search" button on the
bottom of the search form.
To Define your Search
Choose selection criteria from
the options on the search form.
Optionally, click the "Courts" icon at the top of the search form page to display and
select court locations from a map of the United States.
You may select the order in which results are sorted by selecting an option from the
"Sort Results by" field on the search form page.
For further details about the options on the search form,
click the "Help" icon at the top of the search form page.
After you have indicated your search criteria, click the "Search" button on the bottom
of the search page.
The Summary List Page
A summary of position announcements which match your search critera will be displayed.
There will be a hypertext link in the first column for each position announcement.
Click the link to display details about a specific position announcement.
The Details Page
The details page provides all the information that the Federal Law Clerk Information System
contains about the announcement you have selected. On this page you will find
the name and address of the judge, the current status of the position,
requirements for the position, and information about how to apply.
Click the "View List" icon on the top of the details page if you want to return to your
summary list.
To Perform a New Search
Click the "New Search" icon at the top of the summary list or details page to go back to the search page, where you
can begin a new search.
